The story of a man who, despite having an IQ of only 75, links himself to nearly every major cultural event between 1955 and 1985, meeting not only presidents and celebrities but some other extraordinary people as well. The title character leads viewers through an accidental travelogue of American social history from the early 1960s through the present in this revisionist fable. Vietnam, desegregation, Watergate and more are presented from the perspective of Hanks' lovably slow-witted character as he finds himself embroiled in situations he can't quite comprehend.

Funny, but boring for my favorite type.
The movie has a cool concept: It subtly incorporated historic events in the life of Forrest Gump. I liked it very much.
