Around 2020 Lincoln Six Echo (Ewan McGregor) lives in a confined building where they are away from the contaminated world outside, or so they think. Once a week someone is selected to go to the island which looks like paradise, but Lincoln finds out that the island isn't something you want to go to.

Some nice ideas, but could have been so much better....Very familiar territory, (think Gattaca meets Logans Run), and all of the cast look uncomfortable, particularly Ewan McGregor - who's American accent is not convincing at all.
Having said that, it's quite watchable, with some nice action scenes and set pieces. Believeabilty gets stretched wafer thin, and indeed snaps on a couple of occasions - the two lead characters are seemingly indestructable.....but this is the movies I guess.
Special mention for the sound....if you have a big surround set-up, it's floor-shaking in some scenes.
