Chev Chelios is a hit man who has been injected with a poision that will kill him when his heart rate drops below a certain amount. All he has left is revenge.

Tried hard to like this....but failed. A movie that just isn't sure what it is.....action? comedy? ...ends up being a confusing mish mash. The violence is frequent and unpleasant - (not clearly over-the-top Tarantino style). There is a particularly unpleasant rape scene - featuring the "hero". The "comedy" is very out of place with the rest of the movie's brutality.
The plot is interesting, but in a number of situations there needs to be an enormous dose of credibility suspension.
I appreciate that this is "video game" cinema....nothing more, I just think that it could have been a lot better. Cast were ok, although not much was asked of them.
I did enjoy the soundtrack and the homage to the Blues Brothers during one particular car chase.
