On the July 4th holiday, an attack on the vulnerable United States infrastructure begins to shut down the entire nation. The mysterious figure behind the scheme has figured out every modern angle -- but he never figured on an old-school "analog" fly in the "digital" ointment: John McClane. No mask. No cape. No problem.

I read a few interviews by Bruce Willis and I read what critics were saying about the film. I have to say that it's definetely worth seeing. As far as being compared to other three films, Willis said in one of the interviews it's just as good, if not better than the first one. I'd have to say that I don't think it hits the mark as far as being compared to the first one, but it does put to shame the other sequels. This should of been Die Hard 2. However; I suppose we had to have two and three (which I actually liked quite a bit) to get to this one. One thing that really did bother me though, was the really cheesy computer terms being thrown around, I know it's typical of a Hollywood movie to have computer terms that make no sense in the movie, but I was a bit annoyed by this. That being said, I thought it was well done and the second best of the four Die Hard movies.
This movie is really just as good as the first. Its different than the first though. Alot of things have changed in 15 years, so you must take that into account (including Willis' once little daughter). This seems almost like a stand-a-lone movie altogether. And its deffinelty worth seeing.
I enjoyed this a lot.......It gave no pretence at being serious, unlike it's predecessors which clung to a semblance of "this could happen"....Die Hard 4 holds no such notions, and therefore I felt a little more "relaxed"...... in "switch off and hang on" mode. Bruce seemed to enjoy himself immensely....knowing perhaps that he didn't need to take off his shirt for this one.....pressure off!
The action was fast loud and furious and ridiculously but enjoyably over the top. The notion of wanton death and destruction as entertainment may unsettle some, but I enjoyed the movies action and humour very much.
