They've kept television viewers laughing for nearly twenty years, and now the most popular animated family on the small screen makes the leap into theaters as Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart, ad Maggie embark on their first ever feature-length adventure. Homer Simpson must save the world from a catastrophe he himself created. Directed by David Silverman and written by a whole host of Simpsons veterans including Matt Groening and James L. Brooks.

After having watched almost every episode of the last 18 seasons, I didn't really know what to expect from this film. There was a lot of great computer animated sequences, but all in all, this just seemed like a long TV episode. There was one thing that I can say about this movie though: it is definitely not made for kids.
Read on for spoilers on the adult humor: First there's the scene where Bart skateboards through the town naked. Oh yes, there's cartoon full frontal. A friend asked me... what did it look like? All I could say was: cartoony. There's a few racist jokes and sexual innuendo... like Homer trying to have an epiphany and saying out loud: If you shake more than twice you're playing with yourself. I lol'd.
I saw it in the morning with a bunch of families and I could just see the parents squirm as the innuendos were being dropped. So, if you're thinking of taking kids to see this movie, I'd say be warned.
