Follows newly engaged Ben Murphy (John Krasinski) and his fiancée, Sadie Jones (Mandy Moore), in their quest to live happily ever after. The problem is that Sadie’s family church, St. Augustine’s, is run by Reverend Frank (Robin Williams), who won’t bless Ben and Sadie’s union until they pass his patented, “foolproof” marriage-prep course. Consisting of outrageous classes, outlandish homework assignments and some outright invasion of privacy, Reverend Frank’s rigorous curriculum puts Ben and Sadie’s relationship to the test.

If anyone's wondering what this movie is about, let me ruin it for you. It's a slow and very predictable romantic comedy. Actually, I don't know how much this film deserves the comedy tag in it's description, but it's there nonetheless.
While this movie does have some comedic scenes, it's nowhere near enough to save it from it's slow pace and boring dialogue. Mandy Moore is her typical sweetheart character with the same personality. I don't know if I've ever seen her differentiate herself from that role to be honest.
Luckily, Robin Williams and his mini-pastor serve up enough comedy to save it from being dreadfully boring.
Unfortunately for them, this film is a fast sinking ship and no matter how many buckets of water they're throwing overboard, it's going down hard.

Tons of actors from "The Office" are in this movie. That got my attention!
