A young sailor (Luke), prone to violent outbursts, is ordered to see a naval psychiatrist (Washington) to learn to control his anger. The young man eventually opens up and reveals his horrific childhood. Born in prison to a single mother, the boy went through a variety of foster homes and orphanages, during which time he endured physical and emotional abuse. The doctor helps him confront his painful past and begin a quest to find the family he never knew.
